Kristen Cavallo appointed global CEO of MullenLowe Group

Celebrated marketing executive Kristen Cavallo is the new global CEO of MullenLowe Group, a creative agency with prominent clients such as Google, Netflix and Whole Foods.

Cavallo is taking the helm at the firm following a stint as the CEO of another creative agency called The Martin Agency. Both MullenLowe Group and The Martin Agency are part of $10 billion marketing conglomerate Interpublic Group.

Interpublic Group is one of the marketing sector’s so-called Big Four companies. The Big Four supply the ideas and design assets for the ad campaigns of the world’s largest brands, while also managing business tasks such as buying air time from broadcasters.

Interpublic consists of five major marketing groups. MullenLowe Group, where Kristen Cavallo has been appointed global CEO, is among the largest of the five with 20 offices in 13 countries.

“Kristen is the ideal person to build on what our teams have achieved at MullenLowe,” remarked Interpublic Group chief executive Philippe Krakowsky. “The agency is consistently recognized for being among the top-performing networks for effectiveness and creative return on investment for our clients.”

Cavallo is taking up the CEO role at MullenLowe Group after half a decade at the helm of The Martin Agency. During her tenure, the latter firm was named “Agency of the Year” twice by Adweek while Cavallo won the “Executive of the Year” award in 2019 for her work.

Cavallo will continue to lead The Martin Agency in parallel with her new role as the global CEO of MullenLowe Group.
