RSM US names Ty Beasley chief talent officer

Accounting heavyweight RSM US has named long-time consulting executive Ty Beasley as its new chief talent officer.

RSM US is the largest member of the RSM International accounting firm network. The firms in the network employ about 51,000 professionals across 123 countries.

RSM US accounted for about 40% of the $7.26 billion in revenue that RSM International reported for 2021.

Like other major accounting firms, RSM US is active in other parts of the consulting ecosystem besides the financial services segment. The firm’s corporate clients, which are mainly midsize companies with fewer than 10,000 employees, turn to it for help with projects ranging from ERP software implementations to digital marketing campaigns.

Ty Beasley is taking over as RSM US’ chief talent officer after more than 25 years in consulting. He was most recently the head of RSM US’ north Texas practice and also held the role of consulting leader for talent.

Beasley was a member of the firm’s board for three years.

As chief talent officer, Beasley will focus on optimizing RSM US’ recruiting processes to ensure that the firm can effectively continue expanding its workforce. He will also be responsible for ensuring that existing employees have access to the resources they need to succeed, including professional development opportunities.

“I firmly believe that all our people can lead from where they are to make a difference every day for our clients, colleagues and communities,” said Beasley. “I look forward to bringing together our human resources, learning, recruiting and inclusion teams under a unified strategy to ensure the experience our people have at RSM is second to none.”

Business leaders frequently repeat the saying that a firm’s employees are its biggest asset. This is doubly true for a professional services firm like RSM US, whose primary offering is not a physical product or piece of software but its employees’ know-how.

Because of that dynamic, talent acquisition and retention are two of the most important priorities for consultancies.

“Ty has a contagious energy and passion for our people, which will help RSM continue to advance our talent experience through an unrivaled, inclusive culture,” said RSM US CEO Brian Becker.

Beasley holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Loyola University and an MBA from Webster University.
