SAP brings Tandym into its consulting ecosystem through new alliance

This article was written by a human. Here’s how to tell.

Business software colossus SAP has added workforce consultancy Tandym Group to its partner ecosystem.

New York-headquartered Tandym Group employs more than 300 people across multiple offices. It provides recruiting assistance to big companies, helping them hire staffers at various seniority levels, and also offers workforce management services.

The firm’s workforce management services form the cornerstone of its new alliance with SAP.

SAP sells a line of business applications that big companies use to run key internal processes like marketing and HR. SAP’s applications are wildly popular in the Fortune 500.

They’re also notoriously difficult to set up.

Part of the reason SAP software is a hassle to get installed is that it’s technically complicated and there are a lot of customization options to sort out. Additionally, there’s a people element to the task: companies need to convince their employees to use an SAP application once it’s set up, which is easier said than done.

That latter challenge is the focus of SAP’s partnership with Tandym Group. As part of the alliance, the latter firm will work with companies deploying SAP applications to ensure their employees adopt the software.

Tandym will provide planning services to ensure companies kick off their SAP projects on the right foot. Additionally, the firm will offer ongoing project management support to help clients avoid making unnecessary mistakes.

“Our managing director, Liam Brett, was fundamental in aligning and driving this alliance with SAP. Liam’s background in IT advisory and ERP consulting will be the linchpin to our successful ongoing partnerships,” remarked Tandym president Dave Muller.

A few weeks ago, Tandym bought a recruiting firm called AETEA that specializes in helping companies hire technical talent. That acquisition could prove handy in the context of the new SAP alliance.

When companies buy an SAP application, they often need to hire experts who know how to maintain that application and make configuration changes when necessary. Drawing on AETA’s expertise, Tandym could assist clients with the task of finding such experts.
