Protiviti and Workday sign professional services partnership

This article was written by a human. Here’s how to tell.

Protiviti is teaming up with Workday to help enterprises implement the latter company’s popular workforce management and accounting software.

Protiviti is the IT consulting arm of Robert Half, one of the largest recruiting firms in the U.S. Workday is a publicly-traded enterprise software vendor. It operates a cloud platform that HR and accounting teams at Fortune 500 firms use to carry out their work. Workday is also active in a number of other markets: it sells applications that companies can use to manage their procurement operations and deliver professional services to clients.

Under the new partnership, Protiviti will help enterprise clients roll out Workday’s software to their employees. Protiviti staffers can help a company set technical goals for a Workday project and carry out the hands-on work involved in achieving those goals. Additionally, the Robert Half subsidiary provides program management services for coordinating such initiatives.

Protiviti can also sort out some of the less obvious tasks involved in Workday rollouts. If a company wants to load records from its previous HR or accounting system into Workday, the Robert Half subsidiary can move the information on its behalf. Following the completion of a Workday implementation project, Protiviti can test the installation with a client organization’s employees to ensure it meets their requirements.

Software implementation is only one half of Protiviti’s Workday value proposition. Clients can also hire the firm to manage their Workday implementations on their behalf and fix any technical issues that may emerge over time.

Protiviti is far from the only Workday consultancy out there. In the announcement of its partnership with Workday, the firm said parent Robert Half’s recruiting know-how should give companies reason to hire it over competitors. Software implementation projects often require specialized expertise that a consultancy may not always have available in-house. With Robert Half’s help, Protiviti can in theory address those gaps more easily than other consultancies.
