HLB Mann Judd has named long-time partner Norman Neill to the helm of its office in Perth, Australia.

The appointment marks the second time that Neill, a more than 30-year employee of the firm, has taken up the top post at the Perth office. He previously held the role between 2014 and 2020.

HLB Mann Judd is the Australian member firm of HLB International, a top ten accounting network with more than $5.4 billion in annual revenue. The network boasts a significantly faster growth rate than many of its rivals, having increased its fee income by 23% year-over-year in 2023. HLB Mann Judd has been a part of HLB International since 1988.

Neill joined the Australian firm in 1992, a year before it officially adapted the HLB suffix. It was previously known simply as Mann Judd. Neill became a partner at the firm’s corporate and audit services group in 2003, a role he has held ever since.

HLB Mann Judd’s corporate and audit services group helps businesses ensure the accuracy of their financial statements. According to an official company webpage, Neill’s team works with both Australian firms and multinationals active in the local market. HLB Mann Judd’s Perth office focuses on, among other activities, helping corporate clients validate their accounting records before going public on the Australian stock market.

In addition to leading the Perth hub, Neill is a proper authority holder of HLB HLB Mann Judd Corporate (WA) Pty, the firm’s licensed investment advisory arm. The unit assists clients with mergers, takeovers and funding rounds.

HLB Mann Judd’s Perth office has 11 partners and 80 employees. In conjunction with Neill’s appointment as managing partner, the firm announced several promotions over at its Sydney and Brisbane branches. HLB Mann Judd has added six partners across the two locations as well as several new directors.
