EisnerAmper expands partner roster with former Grant Thornton executive
EisnerAmper has appointed long-time accounting executive Raymond Werth as a corporate tax partner.
Werth joins the company after a 14-month stint at Armanino, a management consultancy where he held a similar role. The executive earlier spent 27 years at Grant Thornton, one of the world’s ten largest accounting networks by revenue. He most recently served as the head of the firm’s tax reporting and advisory practice in the Northeastern US.
EisnerAmper is an accounting firm with more than 3,000 employees. It’s also active in certain other parts of the professional services market, notably the IT consulting and recruiting segments. It generated just over $1 billion in revenue last year.
One of Werth’s focus areas in his new role will be advising companies on international tax matters. When a firm opens an office in a new overseas market, it comes under the purview of local financial regulators. Hiring a consultancy such as EisnerAmper to navigate the local regulatory landscape is often simpler than building out a local accounting team.
Werth will also advise clients on a range of other topics including mergers and acquisitions. According to a company biography, the executive has experience working with firms in major verticals such as the technology, manufacturing, professional services and retail sectors.
