Protiviti grows martech practice with R2integrated acquisition
IT services heavyweight Protiviti has capped off the year by buying R2integrated, a Baltimore-based marketing technology consultancy.
Protiviti is a leading provider of IT services that has at one point or another worked with more than 80% of the Fortune 500. It’s a subsidiary of Robert Half, an S&P 500 company that provides staffing services and HR consulting.
R2integrated, for its part, is a Baltimore-based firm that operates in the IT services market much like Protiviti. But it has a narrower focus: companies call in R2integrated when they need help deploying Adobe’s Experience Manager and Experience Cloud software products.
Most people are familiar with Adobe thanks to its ubiquitous graphic design applications. But in the business world, the company is also well known for its marketing software, which top consumer brands use to engage customers online.
“Bringing R2i into Protiviti’s Digital solution is an important part of our strategy to expand our end-to-end offerings to help our clients innovate their customer experiences to fulfill their brand promise and create a better-connected future,” remarked Joan Smith, Protiviti’s global digital solutions leader.
One of the tasks with which R2intergates assists clients is setting up Adobe’s Experience Manager software. Experience Manager is a kind of sophisticated database in which a marketing department can put its product images, ad copy, blog posts and other creative assets.
R2intergation also provides technical support to organizations adopting Adobe’s Experience Cloud software suite. The suite enables marketing departments to gain insight into customers’ shopping habits and personalize ads for each buyer.
R2intergation’s 75 employees will join Protiviti as part of the acquisition. Two senior R2intergation executives, Chief Digital Officer Michael Paige and Chief Commercial Officer Chris Hessler, will become managing directors at Protiviti.
Hessler worked at Adobe for a decade in various leadership roles before joining R2integration. Paige was an executive at the marketing technology consulting arm of Oracle, one of Adobe’s top competitors.
