EY looks to take on more Software AG implementation projects

EY has partnered with Software AG, one of Germany’s top software companies, to support joint clients’ IT modernization projects.

London-headquartered EY is one of the world’s largest providers of corporate accounting services. It also has a sizable IT division that assists companies with the task of installing new software products.

EY will work with Software AG to help companies deploy the latter firm’s applications. The partnership focuses on three Software AG applications in particular: ARIS, Cumulocity and webMethods.

ARIS is a tool that companies can use to understand how their employees perform important business tasks. Gaining visibility into how key business activities are performed enables executives to spot optimization opportunities.

According to Software AG, ARIS is also useful for other types of projects. Companies can use the tool for, among other things, IT project acceleration.

EY is one of the firms using ARIS to that end.

EY has partnerships with several other German tech firms besides Software AG. One of those firms is SAP, the country’s largest provider of business applications.

EY engineers use ARIS to support client projects that involve installing SAP’s S/4HANA enterprise resource planning platform.

The two other Software AG products that the new partnership with EY covers are Cumulocity IoT and webMethods. The former application is used by companies to manage digitized industrial machinery, while the former application is used to move data between IT systems.

“As the EY relationship with Software AG continues to grow, it is extremely exciting to envision the new opportunities that this expanded collaboration will help provide,” commented EY executive Netta Nyholm. “The alliance will strengthen how EY teams provide end-to-end digital transformation solutions, while aiming to drive material impact for clients.”

EY is setting up a center of excellence with more than 200 employees to support its partnership with Software AG. The Big Four has stated that the partnership will be rolled out in multiple markets around the world.
