Deloitte launches technology-centric sustainability solution
Big Four firm Deloitte is launching a new consulting solution, GreenSpace Tech by Deloitte, that will connect companies with startups developing cutting-edge sustainability technologies.
As the world’s largest professional services firm by revenue, Deloitte has a sprawling network of partners. These partners include many startups developing new sustainability technologies, such as software for measuring the progress of companies’ net-zero initiatives.
Through GreenSpace Tech, Deloitte is opening its partner network to clients.
“There is a tremendous opportunity for the business community to lead as we chart a responsible path to a decarbonized economy,” remarked Deloitte Global CEO Joe Ucuzoglu. “Deloitte is committed to being at the forefront of emerging climate technology to help advance this societal imperative and accelerate organizations’ progress toward decarbonization.”
When a company needs assistance with a sustainability project, such as finding a way to make a product using green manufacturing methods, it can turn to GreenSpace Tech by Deloitte. The Big Four firm will then identify startups with technologies that can help the company achieve its goal.
Deloitte will also supply relevant consulting services. If a company needs assistance implementing a technology sourced through GreenSpace Tech by Deloitte, it can hire the Big Four firm to lend a hand.
Alongside the other solutions included in the offering, clients will receive access to market data. Deloitte plans to provide access to information about investments and other business developments in the green technology ecosystem.
The launch of GreenSpace Tech by Deloitte builds on the $1 billion investment that the firm made in its sustainability consulting practice last year. The practice has two main priorities: assisting clients with sustainability projects and providing related training to Deloitte’s 400,000-plus professionals, as well as its suppliers.
