Accenture expands Google partnership with new services

This article was written by a human. Here’s how to tell.

Accenture will use technology from Google to power a set of new offerings for its consulting clients.

The first new offering is based on the search giant’s Cloud WAN service. Google’s data centers are connected by a network of subsea internet cables and terrestrial data transfer infrastructure. Using Cloud WAN, enterprises can harness Google’s network to move their own data between remote locations such as branch offices. Accenture will provide setup assistance that will make it easier for clients to get started with Cloud WAN, a centralized management console and automation features.

Another new Accenture offering focuses on Google’s GDC platform. The platform enables companies to set up what is essentially a scaled-down version of Google’s public cloud in their data centers. Accenture will help clients implement GDC to reduce the amount of time involved in deploying the platform. The consultancy plans to offer GDC setup assistance through so-called packaged solutions that are each tailored for a different sector.

Accenture’s new collection of Google-powered technology offerings also has a significant AI component. The consultancy will incorporate AI technology from Google into its GenWizard service bundle, which helps clients with tasks such as modernizing legacy code bases. Additionally, Accenture is expanding its catalog of industry- and department-specific AI agents using Google’s Agentspace tool. The latter offering enables AI agents to access information in a company’s internal systems.
